    Shelburne Community School is deeply committed to ensuring that every student has the necessary skills to transition from our building to the high school and community. SCS understands that the education of a diverse population of learners requires differentiated systems in place to meet the needs of all learners.  Some students will require specialized instruction, modified curricula or accommodations designed to meet their individual needs Students who require support services are identified by various means including child find activities mandated by federal law and referrals from parents, teachers, human service agencies and the medical community. Generally, support services fall into one of three broad categories: special education services, protection from discrimination under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and support offered under the Vermont Act 117.
