The CSSU Curriculum Office assists our five schools to provide a learning environment that nurtures the academic and social development of every student. The Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment coordinates a wide range of meaningful learning opportunities in order to build program consistency throughout CSSU. As a supervisory union, we continually examine and update curriculum and assessments to ensure they are aligned with research based "best practice" and state standards as well as the needs of our student population.
Projects underway through the CSSU curriculum office include:
MATH - Supervision and coordination of the implementation of the Bridges Math Program K-5 across the K-8 schools, development of the Fact Fluency Toolkit
LITERACY - Training and implementation of Benchmark Reading Assessment grades K-8, revision and implementation of On Demand Expository Writing Assessment
