Jeffrey O'Hara- Associate Principal

My name is Jeff O’Hara and I’m the new assistant principalhere at HCS.  For the last nine years, Iworked for the South Burlington School District. The first four years at SB I was the coordinator of their elementaryafter school program, School’s Out.  Forthe past five years, I’ve been a sixth grade Social Studies teacher at Tuttle Middle School.  Ithoroughly enjoyed my time as a classroom teacher and wouldn’t have left unlessthere was a perfect fit for me here at HCS.

When I’m not at school, I love to spend time with my wifeand two-year-old daughter.  Until thisyear, I was heavily involved in soccer, both coaching and playing.  It wasn’t all too unusual to have my daughterby my side while I was coaching for SB or for Far Post.  She was my very helpful assistant.  Along with soccer, we did plenty of camping,swimming, and visiting friends and family over the summer.

Everyone in the Hinesburg Community and here at HCS havebeen so welcoming and kind to me that I know how lucky I am to be a part ofthis wonderful school.
