Distinguished Musician Award

A Distinguished Musician is one who consistently takes risks, practices hard and challenges his/herself to become a better musician.  He/she does beyond what is expected and earns public recognition  for their dedication to fine musicianship.

To earn the title of Distinguished Musician, students participate in varied activites, each with their own point values. These activities support their technical, intellectual and expressive musical growth.  When students amass points totaling 30,  students are officially and publicly recognized as  distinguished musicians and each is awarded an embossed music folder. All musicians are encouraged to strive toward this goal
