The French and Spanish program in the Williston School District is an elective course of study open to 6th through 8th grade learners. It is a sequential program with an emphasis on listening, speaking, and writing skills, along with cultural awareness, in a lively and creative environment. Students are offered a variety of experiences including games, role-plays and projects. All learners who successfully complete the three-year program and pass the Placement Exam will be placed in French II or Spanish II.
It is strongly recommended that students begin language study in 6th grade to progress through the course objectives. It is our hope to offer language instruction to the lower grades in the future.
