Positive Behavior interventions and Support (PBiS)
The Williston School District uses the PBiS (Positive Behavior interventions and Supports) framework. PBiS is a school-wide approach to creating a positive and safe climate in which students can learn and grow. PBiS exists to improve the behavior of all students in all school environments.
At Williston schools, teachers, administrators, counselors, and family members work together to teach and support behavior expectations at school. All school personnel are responsible for knowing the behavior expectations and providing consistent positive feedback to students. A school-wide approach to setting behavior expectations and recognizing appropriate student behavior helps all students make appropriate choices.
